To provide the individual with the technical and practical knowledge to identify damage to personal fall protection equipment. This course will enable delegates to complete pre-use checks on equipment.

This course is designed to meet the moral and legal obligation of the employer regarding the detailed examination of personal fall protection equipment. Successful completion of this training will allow candidates to complete pre use checks on their PFPE.
The course focuses on the inspection of harnesses, lanyards and anchor strops but can be tailored for Rope Access or other Work At Height activities.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the general Health & Safety duties of employers and employees in the workplace.
- Understand and explain the relevant parts of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other legislation and guidance related to work at height equipment and inspection.
- Understand the fundamental principles of fall protection, including the individual ‘hierarchy of control’
- Understand and recognise the damage that can occur to personal fall protection equipment and the danger created by the damage.
- Complete individual inspections of PFPE.
- Understand how to care and maintain PFPE.
Participants Will Receive:
- Certificate lasting 3 years
- Direct support from the Guardian training team and Guardian Fall customer service
Important Information:
Health:
All personnel participating in Safety Training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Delegates will be required to sign a statement stating that they are medically fit to participate in safety training and that they do not suffer from any medical illness or are under the influence of any narcotic substance or alcohol.
